  • Organizational Mission: The mission of the Fort Wayne Urban League (FWUL) is to enable urban residents and others to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. The FWUL provides educational, employment and economic empowerment programs designed to close income and achievement gaps in our community.
  • Volunteer Opportunity: The Urban League After School Academy provides homework help and academic enrichment activities for K-12 students. Primarily the Urban League uses teachers and student-teachers to provide instruction, but volunteers are also needed. We have a special need for volunteers to assist students with math and science, as well as one-on-one and small group reading.
