  • Organizational Mission:  The mission of the Neighborhood Action Center, Inc, located in Autumn Woods Apartments, is to help improve the academic success of students in Southeast Fort Wayne.
  • Volunteer Opportunity: The center provides a Homework Help Program. Though programs offered at the Neighborhood Action Center are for every student in the area, presently 100% of students utilizing the center are refugees from Burma. The cross cultural opportunity for volunteers and students is immense.

  • Time/Duration of Commitment: Homework Help Program from 3:00pm until 6:00 pm., Monday through Fridays. During the evening the center offers English as a New Language classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 6:30 until 8:00.
